Love

Monday, July 7th, 2008

You know you love someone when you jump out of the shower, at the sound of desperate pounding and crying at the bathroom door, run down the stairs – buck naked – eyeing the window blinds briefly to see if the neighbor’s are getting a show, tear into the room where a very small reptile has escaped and proceed to try to catch it and return it to its terrarium! Then, the pressure’s on, when your young child is pleading to God, “Please God, I can’t live without my lizard!” And, the good Lord know’s this woman takes all morning and a whole pot of coffee just to wake up! It’s me versus a pygmy lizard that is very, very fast!

All I know is that the Creator of the universe listened to a young child’s desperate prayer, because, after He so graciously gave me and idea as to how to catch this wyley reptile and return it to it’s container, I about fainted when I realized that it very well could have gotten stuck in the very, very sticky spider trap that was on the same counter as the tiny lizard. I’ve had to throw away mice that got stuck in those spider traps, because they’re EXTREMELY sticky! God was watching out for one, little lizard, and one very helpless, sweet, little girl. Don’t you think He will listen to you?
